A brave father in South Australia risked his own safety to protect his daughter from a potentially deadly snake bite. Jake Coombe was at his home in the Murraylands when he saw an unusual creature moving towards his daughter. Without hesitation, he grabbed his daughter to keep her out of harm's way, and the snake then turned towards him.
Jake had just returned from a holiday with his family, and he wasn't going to let his daughter get hurt by the animal. However, he didn't realize that he had been bitten by the snake until later on. Despite knowing that there was a risk of being bitten, Jake acted quickly to ensure his daughter's safety.
After being bitten, Jake was immediately taken to the hospital where he spent the night. He shared that if his daughter had caught the snake, the situation might have been very different. Luckily, the family was able to find the snake inside their house with the help of Jake's wife's father.
While it's not uncommon to see snakes in the area, this experience was a shocking one for the father. It just goes to show how a parent's instinct to protect their child can drive them to do incredibly brave things, even if it means putting their own safety at risk.
