Teaching Jobs In Australia

Teaching is one of the most admired job. It is actually the world’s most important. But too sad, not all teachers in the world get the pay that they deserve, especially in some poorer countries. But there is a way that you can continue your passion and earning a good living for yourself and family. That is by working in another country, and Australia will be a good choice. There are many education jobs in Australia. The demand is getting bigger and bigger because of more students from all over the world flying down south to study. Most teaching jobs in Australia are found on the Tertiary and Secondary Level. There are also positions if your expertise is on nursery and preparatory, just be persistent and dedicated to find one. To be able to pursue your dream, you may apply for a skilled Australian sponsored visa.

But before you get hired in any Australian schools and universities, you will be subjected first in different assessments. Immigration assessment is given, what you need to work for is the skill assessment for teachers. Since teaching is a professional job, the government gives focus on its exportation by filtering the list if applicants from qualified to undeserving. If you think you have the capability and skills to teach, be ready for their tight grading and assessment. Nothing is hard for the determined.

The Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership, formerly known as Teaching Australia, is the government assigned agency that has the authority of assessing your skills to be able to land in any teaching jobs in Australia, as a part of the General Skilled Migration process. Criteria sought by the agency are as follows:

English Language Proficiency - you are fluent in the spoken and written form of the language.

Professionalism - as part of the educational criterion above, completion of an initial teacher education qualification of at least one year full-time (or part-time equivalent) study at the higher education level that includes at least 45 working days of supervised teaching practice in your nominated occupation.

Educational - you need to have a completion of study assessed by the agency as comparable to at least four years full-time higher education level study (or part-time equivalent) in Australia, which results in a qualification (or qualifications) comparable to the education level of an Australian bachelor degree or higher.”

But before all this, you should be able to find first possible jobs in Australia. There are many teaching positions being advertised by the Australia government. Most of these came from recognized schools and universities. You can see a vast list of teaching jobs by browsing the web. There are many job search sites that you can use. They pile up a list of teaching jobs, together with the designations and worth of salary. Just be wary of the sites and immigration services provider you are dealing with.

Job Services site specialises in helping migrants and refugees

Queensland’s first Job Services Australia program specialising in helping migrants and refugees find jobs was officially launched today at Woodridge.
Minister for Employment Participation Mark Arbib and Member for Rankin Craig Emerson opened ACCES Services Inc’s Job Services Australia office in Woodridge.
“Since 1992, ACCES Services has focused on providing specialised support and services to migrants and refugees. This includes employment and training programs to help people arriving in Australia find a job,” Senator Arbib said.
“One of the key reasons the Australian Government introduced the new Job Services Australia in July was to put a greater focus and emphasis on helping people who had greater barriers to employment.”
ACCES Services is also delivering services and projects under the Employer Broker Panel, Innovation Panel and Jobs Fund.
This will help to coordinate and target the efforts of ACCES Services to better match the labour needs of employers with appropriate job seekers.
Dr Emerson said Job Services Australia was central to the Government’s integrated approach to addressing the global economic downturn.
“Job Services Australia providers help job seekers with training, skills development, work experience and job placement,” Dr Emerson said.
“These services are part of the Government’s commitment to delivering better and more targeted employment services to job seekers across Australia.
“Finding jobs for people with serious barriers is not simple and often requires long-term and sustained efforts. ACCES Services at Woodridge have shown they are in it for the long-haul.”
The Australian Government is committed to investing in and re-shaping Australia’s government employment services to meet the needs of job seekers. Giving extra resources and more tailored assistance to job seekers will help to meet this commitment.
